Update: ADO claims that news about Pardew bonus is ‘pertinently incorrect’

ADO Den Haag does not relegate from the Eredivisie and so trainer Alan Pardew gets a big bonus. At least, according to the English boulevard newspaper The Mirror. Both parties made this agreement in December.

Pardew reportedly received £ 100,000 for six months ADO and another £ 100,000 if he kept the club in the Eredivisie. The question is whether he had succeeded on his own. Still, the Englishman gets his bonus, The Mirror knows.

Pardew won his first game as a trainer of ADO, but did not book another victory after that. The turmoil grew, the game was bad and even supporters started to stir. With eight more games on the schedule, things looked particularly bad for ADO, which was seven points behind number sixteen Fortuna Sittard.

On Friday, the KNVB decided not to let both ADO and RKC Waalwijk be relegated from the Eredivisie, so Pardew succeeded in its mission. Therefore, the 58-year-old Englishman is allowed to send an invoice to ADO.

Update: ADO has responded to the reports about Pardew. This is ‘pertinently incorrect’, the number seventeen of the Eredivisie claims to Voetbal International.
