Government data on Saturday (10/10/2020) at 12.00 WIB, there were 4,294 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The additions were total coronavirus case currently there are 328,952 people, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.
This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through data received by journalists on Friday afternoon.
Data can also be accessed by the public on the covid19.go.id and kemkes.go.id sites, with update which appears every afternoon.
Even though the data shows that cases are increasing, the government is raising hope by revealing that more Covid-19 patients are recovering.
In a day, there were an additional 3,814 Covid-19 patients who recovered after being deemed no longer infected with the corona virus.
They were declared cured based on the method of examination polymerase chain reaction which shows a negative result.
Thus, the total number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered has now reached 251,481 people since the start of the pandemic.
However, sad news still appears with the addition of Covid-19 patients who have died.
In the period 8 to 9 September 2020, an additional 88 Covid-19 patients died.
Thus, the death rate due to Covid-19 in Indonesia has now reached 11,765 people.
Apart from positive cases, the government also shows that today’s data shows that there are 151,652 people with suspect status.
A total of 4,294 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered after examining 42,668 specimens a day.
During the same period, 33,675 people were sampled in order to undergo specimen examination.
So far, the government has examined 3,726,476 specimens of 2,283,369 people sampled.
For the record, one person can undergo specimen examination and have the sample taken more than once.
Currently, all provinces in Indonesia have recorded Covid-19 cases, from Aceh to Papua.
In detail, there are 500 districts / cities from 34 provinces affected by the corona virus infection.
