Anyone who has had a wild time between the sheets might just be a lot more likely to get cancer. A British study shows that women who have had more than ten bed partners in their lives are up to 91 percent more at risk for the disease.
The researchers at Anglia Ruskin University studied the data of 5,722 English over-50s. At 69 percent, men were still at a much higher risk, but less than women. There are several explanations. “Previous research has shown that certain STDs can cause different types of cancer,” says co-author Lee Smith.
Oncologist and professor Sylvie Rottey of the UZ also know: “For tumors linked to the human papillomavirus (HPV), such as certain head and neck tumors, it has been shown that there is a link with the number of sexual partners.”
The researchers, whose study in the trade journal BMJ Sexual & Reproductive Health appeared, also indicate that people who have had many bed partners smoked more often and drank a lot and of course you can also get cancer of that.
