Up to 5 years in prison after a spectacular hermit crack in Antwerp

On February 3, 2019, the Antwerp police discovered that 27 safes in the safe room of the BNP Paribas branch on the Belgiëlei in Antwerp had been broken into.

How much loot was taken is not yet clear. Nothing has ever been found of what was stolen there. According to one of the lawyers at the trial, the loot may have been large: “There were still 500 euro notes on the floor, which the perpetrators had left behind”.
