UNT Women’s Basketball Announces Challenging 2025-26 Nonconference Schedule
DENTON, TEXAS – The University of North Texas women’s basketball team unveiled its complete nonconference schedule for the 2025-26 season today, September 4, 2025, featuring a diverse mix of opponents and venues designed too prepare the Mean Green for Conference USA competition. The schedule includes matchups against Power Five programs and regional rivals, culminating in a December contest against a Big Ten opponent.
This slate is crucial for Head coach Jason Berry’s program as it aims to build momentum heading into the conference season. The nonconference games provide valuable opportunities to evaluate personnel,refine strategies,and build a strong resume for potential postseason consideration. Season ticket information is now available, offering fans the chance to support the team throughout the year.
The Mean Green will open their season on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, against Saint Mary’s as part of the Hoopfest Women’s Basketball Challenge at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. They will continue the challenge the following day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, facing Texas Tech, also at the Comerica center.UNT will then return to its home court, ”The Super Pit,” for consecutive games on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, against Oklahoma State, and Saturday, December 6, 2025, versus texas Southern.A challenging road trip awaits the team on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with a contest against illinois in Champaign, Illinois.
The Mean Green will conclude their nonconference schedule with two home games at The Super Pit: Thursday, december 18, 2025, against Oral Roberts, and Sunday, December 21, 2025, against Santa Clara.
