University of Nebraska-Lincoln Seeks Nominations for Honorary Degrees
LINCOLN, NE – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is now accepting nominations for honorary degrees to be awarded in the current academic year. The university seeks to recognize individuals of exceptional achievement and national prominence whose recognition will reflect positively on both the recipient and UNL.
Honorary degrees are bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated distinguished service in one or more of the following areas: service to the University of Nebraska, service to the state of Nebraska, achievement as a UNL graduate, former student, or employee, or distinction on a national or international scale, nonetheless of affiliation with the university or state.

The deadline for submitting nominations is October 1.
