Universities – Lübeck – Klaus Florian Vogt: Honorary professor at a music college – education

Lübeck (dpa / lno) – The renowned tenor Klaus Florian Vogt has been appointed honorary professor at the Lübeck University of Music (MHL). The university announced this on Tuesday. The appointment is a great honor for him, as he is closely associated with the Lübeck University of Music, said Vogt. This is where his singing career originated.

University President Rico Gubler praised Vogt as a valuable addition to the university and to the international appeal of its vocal department. He will present Vogt with the certificate of appointment this Friday as part of the Brahms Festival.

He is very pleased to be able to pick up the thread again and to be able to give something back to the institute with the master classes he is leading, said Vogt. The singer, who comes from northern Germany, began his musical career as a horn player in the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra before he began studying singing at the Lübeck University of Music in 1994.
