Universal Kids Resort Texas: Construction, Themed Worlds & Opening Date

FRISCO, Texas – New renderings ‌and details released by Universal Destinations & Experiences are ⁢fueling excitement for the upcoming Universal Kids​ Resort in Frisco, Texas. The 97-acre theme park, announced in January ⁤2023 and slated to open in ​2026, will feature seven uniquely themed worlds designed for families⁢ with young children.

Guests can look forward to immersive⁢ experiences including DreamWorks’ Shrek‘s Swamp, DreamWorks’ ⁤Puss in Boots Del ‌Mar, Illumination’s Minions vs.Minions: ‌Bello Bay Club, Jurassic world Adventure Camp, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, ⁢Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, and the Isle of Curiosity.

“It’s been very exciting; the excitement has been building,” said josh Dill,assistant executive director of Visit⁣ Frisco. he noted‍ the enthusiasm among North Texans for having the ⁤first Universal theme ⁣park in Texas located in their region, adding, “And ‍I​ think ⁢that’s intentional. This is an entertainment company, and they know⁢ how to get us excited ‌for this.”

Frisco is already a ‌popular tourist destination, and Dill anticipates the Universal Kids Resort⁤ will ⁣further‍ boost visitation.​ “pretty serious tourism here. Right now, Visit Frisco‌ is bucking‌ the⁤ trends regionally and nationally in tourism. We are having⁢ strong tourism numbers. Lots of visitors, things like ​that. so we do expect this to add⁣ to that and keep ‌us a vibrant destination year-round,” he stated.

City officials predict the resort will attract millions of visitors and spur new business development in the area.
