The plans for the “United4Rescue” campaign alliance were presented in early December. At the time, the initiators had stated that the mission should be carried out by Sea-Watch’s sea rescuers from spring 2020 if possible. According to Bedford-Strohm, it is planned to buy a ship owned by the state of Schleswig-Holstein at the end of January. However, it is not yet known how the bidding process will turn out. But there is a plan B to get another ship.
