United States – Big wave of layoffs in the media: CNN will cut 400 jobs – Daily

In the United States, the information sector is preparing for several very difficult months. The CNN channel has announced a plan of 400 layoffs which has already started since the beginning of December. To cut costs, CNN decided to discontinue the morning show of one of its sister channels: HLN and to fire one of its top anchors Robin Meade. But, the new leader of the chain, Chris Licht has a solution. His idea: to hire famous presenters and journalists from competing channels.
