With a concert, Ibagué hosted what will be the 27th Mangostino de Oro National Music Festival 2022, where 27 contestants and guest artists will continue to fill the art and culture stages.
With resounding success, the ‘Grand Launch Concert of version 27 of the Mangostino de Oro 2022 National Music Festival’ was held last Friday night at the Tolima Theater.
As an appetizer to what can be enjoyed in the different stages of the festival, the artistic and production quality prevailed from start to finish, managing to delight the audience.
Bladimiro Molina Vergel, president of the Corporation for the Cultural and Artistic Development of San Sebastián de Mariquita ‘Corarte’ and general director of the festival, was excited by the reception of the public and how it becomes a must-see event within the national cultural agenda .
“Mariquita is the cradle of the Mangosteen, but here, in the musical city of Colombia that has become the second home of the festival, we are proud to make this release (…) For six years we have had this appointment in Ibagué because we feel that from Tolima is that the image of this great festival has to be launched, ”said Molina Vergel.

Likewise, the artistic evening was accompanied by Juan Carlos Castaño, mayor of Mariquita; Juan Manuel Rodríguez, mayor in charge of Ibagué and the teacher Jaiber Bermúdez, director of Departmental Culture, who agreed that this event ratifies the titles of Ibagué as Musical City, Creative City of Music and American Capital of Culture.
Among the different interventions, the Director of Culture noted that this festival is also important for the economic development of Mariquita.

Concert
Those who stole the applause of all the attendees on the launch night for their impeccable staging, motivating the public not to miss this festival meeting, were experienced artists from different regions of the country.
From Cauca (Filin Trío, Pablo Paz, who is a requintista and member of Filin Trío and the Flor de Mayo Duet), Huila (Carolina Ramos and Harol Pobre) and Tolima (Tenor, David Guzmán; pianist and musician, Juan Pablo Luna , and the Luar Duet).

With the aim of bringing an extension of the Launch Concert for other audiences and for those who could not access the theater, Corarte performed another artistic show on the terrace of the La Estación Shopping Center on Saturday, July 30, in which five of the seven acts presented at the Tolima Theater.
It should be noted that the launch of the festival was made possible through coordination with the Ministry of Culture (National Program for Cultural Coordination), the Mayor’s Office of Ibagué, the Governor’s Office of Tolima (Directorate of Culture), the Mayor’s Office of San Sebastián de Mariquita, Sayco and the private company.

‘The 27th Mangostino de Oro National Music Festival’ will take place from August 12 to 14, 2022 at the Humatepa Coliseum and other venues in San Sebastián de Mariquita (Tolima) with free access to all activities. It will also be broadcast on the social networks of the festival and Channel 13.
