A new lot on the Transylvania Highway could be completed in early December, along with a 4.5-kilometer access road.
Unexpected announcement was made by PRO Infrastructure Association, on Facebook and refers to the Târgu Mureş – Ungheni highway segment, part of the A3.-
The association’s experts believe that the new stretch of highway could be inaugurated just before the deadline. The works on the new 9.2-kilometer road are executed by Strabag, and the costs are 192.06 million lei without VAT.

The project is almost complete. The general contractor, STRABAG, has only a few guardrails left to install and some small areas with markings to be executed. Pre-reception procedures are underway this week.

CNAIR signed on May 29, 2020 the contract for the execution of the Târgu Mureş – Ungheni lot from Transilvania Highway with the constructor Strabag, and the order to start the works was given on July 22, 2020.
