Marciano Vink understands that Klaas Jan Huntelaar Ajax is going to exchange for Schalke 04. The ex-footballer of, among others Ajax and PSV thinks Huntelaar can earn ‘eternal glory’ with a return to Schalke.
The news came out on Sunday morning that the switch from Huntelaar to Schalke after the Classic will be official. “I understand that he chooses Schalke”, says Vink Good morning Eredivisie. “If it works there and they stay in the Bundesliga, then he will get a statue. Eternal glory.”
Vink continues: “If it doesn’t work, then he leaves through the back door. Maybe something nice has been served to him. On the other hand, you know what you have at Ajax. If Traoré comes back soon, he won’t be going to many matches. I would always go for that eternal glory. “
Erwin Koeman is still impressed by Huntelaar, despite his age of 37. “He’s a guy who has always scored. At AGOVV, De Graafschap, PSV, Heerenveen; really everywhere. He’s a great guy, hard worker and really a pure top scorer. It’s a luxury problem for him.”
