UNAM announces contingency plan for coronavirus; since March 23 it cancels massive activities

The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) announced that it is preparing a contingency plan for the coronavirus pandemic, which until Wednesday night had 12 positive cases in Mexico.

The plan would start from March 23 with the cancellation of massive events within the University, trips abroad would be delayed and as the contingency progresses, online classes would be analyzed.

Likewise, scientists from the Interuniversity Commission for Emergency Response to Coronavirus, suggested that it is time to start thinking about Phase 2 of COVID-19.

At a press conference, specialist Malaquías López Cervantes from the UNAM Department of Public Health, said that massive events such as the Vive Latino festival can be an opportunity for contagion.
