The death of Mr. Touré, 62, was confirmed by the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its Facebook page, which specified that arrangements are being made by the permanent mission of the Republic of Guinea in New York. for the repatriation of the body of the deceased “as soon as possible”.
A source at the Guinean mission in New York also reported a second positive case of Covid-19 among members of the diplomatic representation, adding that strict quarantine measures will be observed there.
