Umi Pipik Responds to Son’s Joke About Moving Abroad

Jakarta

The son of Umi Pipik and Ustaz Jefri Al Buchori, Abidzar Al Ghifari, recently made a splash. This happened after he admitted that he would move countries. In his statement, Abidzar also intended to invite Umi Pipik to live in another country.

This news then reached the mother. Umi Pipik then opened her voice about what her son said.

“No, it’s just a joke,” said Umi Pipik when met at Cikeas, Gunung Putri, Bogor, West Java this weekend.

Umi Pipik emphasized that until now she has no desire to move abroad. He suspects that what Abidzar said was only for the content on the podcast he attended as a guest star.

Until now there has been no discussion between Abidzar and Umi Pipik about plans to move countries. That’s why Umi Pipik felt it was just a joke.

“No (talk), (it) was just a joke. I saw (the podcast) I asked (him), he said no, he was joking. He wasn’t serious about moving,” continued Umi Pipik.

Abidzar’s joke about moving abroad emerged after he was often compared to his late father. He was even often criticized because he felt he did not reflect the figure of Ustaz Jefri Al Buchori’s son.

Hot with all the views of others, Abidzar felt the need to ‘escape’. He also boasted about plans to move countries.

“I started my argument, people won’t like me because they have higher expectations of me, because they want me to be like my father,” said Abidzar Al-Ghifari when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (10/1 /2023) night.

“And why did I say I wanted to live abroad, because in Indonesia it’s not healthy,” he continued.

According to him, the Indonesian people are too concerned about matters such as politics and religion. He really didn’t like that. First of all, people should respect differences in political views.

Not alone, Abidzar also invited his mother, Umi Pipik, to move to Malaysia so he could live peacefully there without the scorn of people.

“For example, political problems are not healthy, let alone politics that touch religion. I don’t like it. In my opinion, it’s okay, different political views are okay, that’s why I told my mother to just leave Malaysia, Malaysia, you can have a calmer life there,” he concluded.
