The UMCG eases travel restrictions for its own staff. Employees are allowed to travel outside the three northern provinces again, with due observance of the national corona measures.
–
They are still asked to stay at home as much as possible, to take the correct hygiene measures and not to visit people with corona-related complaints.
Mouth mask
Employees who live outside the three northern provinces must wear a surgical mask anyway. They are now also allowed to sleep at home and work in the hospital.
Personnel who have been outside the Northern Netherlands and who must still be in the hospital must also wear a mouth mask for two weeks. This also applies to staff who receive visitors from outside Groningen, Friesland or Drenthe.
Travel abroad is prohibited, unless strictly necessary. The UMCG will apply the measures in any case until 1 June.
Stores
There will also be easing for a number of stores in the hospital. Albert Heijn, Etos, Healthy Planet and DeliMarché will be partly open again from next week. Only food may be collected from the eateries, in line with national guidelines.
