UMass Lowell Women’s Lacrosse Adds Megan Brockbank as Assistant Coach

UMass Lowell WomenS Lacrosse Welcomes Back Program Great Megan Brockbank as Assistant Coach

LOWELL, Mass. – UMass lowell Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Lisa Miller has announced teh appointment of Megan Brockbank as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2026 season. Brockbank, who holds the second-highest point total in program history, returns to UMass Lowell after a stint as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland.

“We are excited to welcome Megan back to the Mill City,” stated Miller. “She possesses a strong voice, a competitive mindset, a great work ethic, and a positive presence that will foster an environment where players, families, and alumni can connect and thrive.”

during her tenure at SUNY Cortland, Brockbank managed a wide range of responsibilities. Her role as an assistant coach involved close collaboration with the head coach on game strategies, as well as the design and implementation of team workouts and schedules. Brockbank also contributed to the recruitment process, assisting coaches in scouting, evaluating, and selecting new players at tournaments.

“I am incredibly grateful for the four years I spent here as a player and a captain,” Brockbank shared. “This program was instrumental in my development.Returning as a coach, I am more committed than ever to building upon that foundation and advancing our program toward our shared vision. I eagerly anticipate working alongside Coach Miller and Coach Rippey and am thrilled to be back!”

in addition to her coaching role at SUNY Cortland, Brockbank has served as an offensive and goalie coach at Legacy Lacrosse sence the summer of 2022. In this capacity, she focused on cultivating team culture, promoting collaboration, and strengthening interpersonal relationships among teammates. She was also responsible for player supervision and safety during off-field activities at away tournaments.

Throughout her four-year playing career at UMass Lowell, Brockbank established herself as one of the program’s most impactful playmakers. She amassed 137 points and 62 assists, both ranking second all-time for the River Hawks.Appearing in 59 games and starting 39, the New York native also secured 46 ground balls and caused 20 turnovers.

Brockbank earned her bachelor’s degree from UMass Lowell in 2024, with a focus on elementary (1-6) and moderate disabilities education (K-8).
