Light-guided molecular oscillation
When light hits the molecules, it is absorbed and emitted again. Advances in ultrafast laser technology have consistently improved the level of detail in the study of such light-matter interactions. Chemist and physicist at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and the Garchinger Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics used ultrashort laser pulses to set molecule atoms in motion and analyzed the dynamics of energy transfer.
