Ukrinform correspondent Andriy Lavrenyuk suddenly dies in Strasbourg at the age of 46

Ukrainian international journalist, correspondent of “Ukrinform” agency died in France Andrey Lavrenyuk… The journalist died in Strasbourg at the age of 46, the reasons have not yet been named.

The tragic news was reported on July 10 by his diplomatic friends on the page Facebook.

“Very sad news! We talked a couple of days ago with Andrii Lavreniuk about today’s manifestation, and here it is. Rest in peace. Thank you for everything you have done for Ukraine!” written by Vladimir Kogutyak.

Former Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko wrote in Facebook, that the death of Lavrenyuk is a heavy loss for domestic journalism.

At the news agency “Ukrinform” noted that he was an experienced international journalist, as well as a professional in his field and a patriot of Ukraine.

Andrey Lavrenyuk has been working at Ukrinform since 2011. For 7 years he was the agency’s own correspondent in Brussels, where he covered the activities of European institutions, NATO headquarters and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the EU and the Mission of Ukraine to NATO. Over the years, Andrey has written and published thousands of news reports, hundreds of analytical materials and interviews.
