A record 2 million tourists from Ukraine visited Turkey in 2021. About this in the comments Public said the head of the State Agency for the Development of Tourism of Ukraine Maryana Oleskiv.

“About 2 million Ukrainians went to Turkey, last year – less than a million, that is, this is a fairly significant increase. This is probably due to the fact that most countries are closed, as it was for a long time. Such as the countries of the European Union”, – said Oleskiv.

The head of the department also added that it is quite difficult for Ukrainians to predict a trip to European countries due to the instability caused by the spread of the new Omicron coronavirus strain.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Turkey remains open to Ukrainians. You can get to this country if you have one of the following documents:

  • a vaccination certificate issued no earlier than 14 days before arrival in the country;

  • a negative PCR test result made in no more than 72 hours;
