Lisichansk, like Severodonetsk, was practically destroyed by the invaders

The occupation forces of the enemy significantly exceeded the Ukrainian forces in Lysichansk, so it was decided to retreat.

The armed forces of Ukraine left Lisichansk, Luhansk region, informs General Staff on Sunday, July 3.-

“After heavy fighting for Lisichansk, the Defense Forces of Ukraine were forced to withdraw from their positions and lines. In the conditions of the multiple superiority of the Russian occupying forces in artillery, aviation, multiple launch rocket systems, ammunition and personnel, the continuation of the defense of the city would lead to fatal consequences. To preserve life of the Ukrainian defenders, it was decided to leave. We continue the fight,” the message says.

The General Staff recalled the lack of weapons.

“Unfortunately, steel will and patriotism are not enough for success – we need material and technical resources … We will return and we will definitely win!”, The General Staff added.
