Ukraine’s Demand to China Related to the Recent Russian Invasion

KYIV, KOMPAS.com – Ukraine made a request to China related threats Russian invasion.

China is known to have avoided or not participated in international condemnation of Russia’s actions in Ukraine. The “Land of the Bamboo Curtain” refuses to condemn President Vladimir Putin’s invasion.

A reminder for China

President of the United States (USA) Joe Biden has told Chinese President X Jinping by telephone on Friday (18/3/2022), that any support for Russia in its war in Ukraine will cost money.

The White House said Biden made it clear to Xi Jinping about the implications and consequences if China were to provide material support to Russia for carrying out brutal attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilians.

But the White House declined to explain Xi Jinping’s response to the warning nor say how hard Biden pushed the Chinese president.

With the Chinese leader “refused” to condemn Putin for his order to invade Ukraine, the US has been concerned that Beijing could go further.

The United States fears China is providing financial and military support to Russia and turning the already explosive transatlantic standoff into a global dispute.
