He noted that Russian engines were installed on American missiles and Ukrainian Zenith missiles.
“Now we are completely abandoning dependence on the Russian Federation, this makes it possible to say to us that this is a 100% realizable project. Since the rocket that we are creating will be smaller, then the engine for it will be smaller,” said Taftay.
He added that Ukraine has carried out developments in this direction, and expressed confidence that the replacement of Russian engines is “a realizable thing.”
Taftay said on May 8 this year that since 2018 there is no space program in Ukraine and that they do not carry out funding for activities in the space sector. According to him, in the space program of Ukraine for the next five years, it is planned to implement several targets, including the launch of seven satellites into orbit.
