UGM Arjuna team attends G20 summit in Bali

TIME.CO, Jakarta – Gadjah Mada University Arjuna Team (UGM) also enlivened the G20 event in Bali. In this G20 event, UGM Arjuna team was specifically requested by Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi. Through the General Directorate of Land Transport of the Ministry of Transport, the UGM Arjuna team obtained an exhibition stand in the arena G20 Bali to showcase the work of the nation’s children in the field of electrification.

Gusti Ngurah Bagus Suputra Wijaya, student in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UGM said he was proud that Arjuna’s team was able to participate in the G20 event. As the head of the UGM Arjuna Electric Vehicle team, he is grateful that the UGM UGM team is given the opportunity to showcase and explain the latest research of the UGM Arjuna team in the field of electric vehicles.electric motor.

“In the championship we have won nationally and internationally. This exhibition is an opportunity to bring our products closer to the public and one of the priorities G20 summit this time it is about sustainable energy transition or sustainable energy transition,” Gusti Ngurah Bagus Saputra Wijaya said as quoted by UGM’s official website on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Gusti Ngurah explained that the Ministry of Transport invited the UGM Arjuna team to the G20 event in Bali to carry out public education and awareness activities and invited the guests about environmentally friendly vehicles. It also shows the Indonesian people’s participation in battery electric vehicle research.

“Therefore in this exhibition we also detailed to the visitors how to make their own Power Distribution Panel (PDB), create their own Battery Management System (BMS) and show Formula SAE Electric Arjuna AF-03 car,” he explained.

He communicated that the UGM Arjuna team supports the sustainability of the sustainable energy transition and the presidential regulation number 55 of 2019 related to the acceleration of the battery-powered electric vehicle program for road transport. The hope is that the UGM Arjuna team can contribute adequately and significantly to the development of battery electric vehicles in Indonesia and make the nation and alma mater proud.

The UGM Arjuna team feels grateful to be able to fulfill the request of the Minister of Transport in making a five-passenger car designed by the UGM Arjuna team called Arcana. The contribution that was then made by Arjuna EV UGM’s team was to conduct an introduction on the research conducted by the students of Gadjah Mada University to welcome the electrification era in Indonesia.
