UGM Academics: This is the Cause and Efforts for Early Detection of Kidney Disease

  • high blood pressure (hypertension)
  • diabetes

  • an increase in blood pressure and pulse
  • swelling of body parts
  • pale face or anemia
  • decreased urination

“We can also perform laboratory tests such as urea, creatinine, and urine to determine kidney function. High creatinine levels in the blood can be a sign of kidney disorders,” he explained.

“There is also an electrolyte check. When someone has kidney problems, these electrolytes become imbalanced. This is a simple check that can be done,” he added.

2. If you have kidney problems due to an enlarged prostate, you can then consult a urologist.

3. When an enlarged prostate causes urinary flow disturbances, certain actions must be taken.
