At around the twelfth minute of the match between PSG and Basakseirem there was a big fight on the pitch. The players of both teams and the main judge appeared at the sideline. The players were explaining something to the referee, Ovidiu Hategan, who gave yellow cards to three players of the Turkish team, as well as to coach Okan Buruk. He showed his assistant Pierre Webo a red card. Webo indicated that the fourth judge, Sebastian Holtescu, called him “negru” (which in Romanian means “black” – editorial note), which could be interpreted as a racist term.

UEFA: The game will resume on Wednesday at 18:55 with a different team of referees
– After discussions with both teams, we made a decision that the remaining minutes of the interrupted match would be PSG against Basakseire will be played against another judges team on Wednesday. Later, information came from Basaksehir. “Our players made the decision not to return to the field after the team’s assistant coach Pierre Webo pointed out the fourth referee’s racist behavior,” said a statement posted on the official Twitter profile.
In the second game, group H played Manchester United against RB Leipzig. The match ended with the result 3: 2 for the German team, which thus secured the promotion to the 1/8 finals Champions League.
