Atletico is scheduled to play in Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Thursday.

The club also stated that it had already informed the relevant health authorities in Spain and Portugal. Atletico plans to conduct re-inspections in the near future for all club players, staff, as well as second team footballers and the rest of the team.

The team planned to go to the crucial venue in Lisbon on Monday.

“The team is already working with UEFA to agree on a date for the game,” the statement said. “As soon as we reach an agreement, we will report it to the general public.”

In addition to the Atletico-Leipzig duel in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, Manchester City-Lyon Olympique, Paris-Saint-Germain-Bergamo Atalanta and Munich-Bayern-Barcelona will also compete.

The quarter-finals will take place in Lisbon from 12 to 15 August. There are also semi-finals on August 18 and 19 and a final on August 23.

Last year, in the final of the UEFA Champions League in a duel between two English clubs in Madrid, Liverpool won Tothenburg’s Hotspur 2-0.
