EVANSVILLE,ind. – The University of Evansville volleyball team closes out its 2025 regular season with a pair of home matches this weekend at Meeks Family Fieldhouse, hosting Drake on Friday at 6 p.m. and southern Illinois on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The weekend also marks Senior Night for the purple Aces, as kora Ruff and Maddie Hawkins will be honored prior to Saturday’s contest, alongside graduate assistant Jordan holland. Ruff is poised to finish her UE career ranked third in program history for career assists, having also accumulated over 1,000 digs. Hawkins has appeared in 415 sets, totaling 387 digs and 78 service aces.
evansville is coming off a pair of road losses,falling 3-0 at Illinois State and 3-1 at Bradley last weekend. Hinsley Everett led the Aces against Bradley with 20 kills, while Chloe Cline and Makenzie Miller each set career highs with 15 and 8 kills, respectively.
The Aces will face a strong Drake team on Friday, entering the weekend with a 14-11 overall record and a 10-4 mark in the Missouri Valley conference. Drake is led by Macy Daufeldt (3.51 kills/set) and kacia Brown (3.41 kills/set), who rank sixth and seventh in the MVC in kills.
Saturday’s opponent, Southern Illinois, is 11-17 overall and 5-9 in MVC play. The salukis are led by Kelly Franklin, who averages 2.99 kills per set.
Recently, Josdarilee Caraballo delivered a standout performance at Murray State, recording career highs in both kills (19) and aces (6), surpassing her previous kill record of 13 against Georgia State. She currently averages 2.37 kills per set and is second in the league with 0.38 service aces per set, having recorded 13 aces over the last five matches.
