Maria B. Jordan | THE PRESS OF LARA.- Sixth semester students of Medicine and Nursing of the Dean of Health Sciences of the UCLA are activated with part of their internships and professional practices in rural outpatient clinics through emergency care and health promotion and education activities, focused on Covid-19.
These are professional activities in order to empower and keep the communities far from the city, both Lara and Yaracuy, informed so that they know how to be prevented during the pandemic. So far, there are 46 Medicine and Nursing students who are doing the practices and talks, divided into two groups.
Julián Pérez, a member of the Dean of Health Sciences, said that while the first group of students completes a period, the others are in the emergencies of the Antonio María Pineda Central Hospital and in the Social Security, but he added that as a preventive measure they last 15 days isolated, assuming they are infected and thus avoid the spread, since they are exposed to the coronavirus, followed by that period, they continue to rotate until the end of the semester and their internships.
