UC Berkeley Professor Killed in Greece – Family Tragedy

Professor Przemyslaw Jeziorski, a respected faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, has died. Jeziorski, who taught at the institution for eight years, was reportedly in Greece for a child custody hearing at the time of his death. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his passing,and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.

Jeziorski was recognized as a leading scholar in marketing science, industrial organization, and data analytics. His brother, Lukasz Jeziorski, shared on the fundraising platform WhyDonate that the family is devastated and committed to seeking justice.He described Przemek as a devoted father to two young children and a passionate educator who cherished sharing his expertise in marketing analytics with his students. The family also hopes to repatriate Przemyslaw’s remains to Poland. Lukasz recently shared on Facebook that their father had passed away just last month.

Jennifer Chatman,Dean of Berkeley Haas,released a statement expressing the school’s profound sadness over the “tragic and sudden death” of Professor Jeziorski. Dean Chatman emphasized that while the investigation is ongoing, the school’s priority is supporting its community during this challenging time. She extended her deepest sympathies to Jeziorski’s family and loved ones, stating, “We will miss him.”
