Ubisoft will shut down the servers of many old games after the holidays

If you’re planning to play an older game from Ubisoft in multiplayer after the summer holidays, you may be in for an unpleasant surprise. The French company announced that 1. 9. 2022 shuts down many game servers.

We see some old parts in the list Assassin’s Creedbut in general it is about titles from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 eras, which almost no one plays anymore. Therefore, there is no point in running servers. Old games will make way for new ones.

  • Far Cry 3 (verze 2012 – PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (PC)
  • Rayman Legends (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U)
  • Silent Hunter 5 (PC)
  • Space Junkies (PC – HTC Vive, Oculus)
  • Splinter Cell: Blacklist (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
  • ZombiU (Wii U)

Let’s just say that the remastered versions of the aforementioned games, such as Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3, are not affected. Multiplayer and all online features will not work for all games. Singleplayer will remain untouched. That is, except for the DLC, which will not be functional.
