Ubisoft deploys open beta

The open beta of Battle Royale by French publisher Ubisoft is officially launched on PC.

Available in closed beta since the beginning of the month, Hyper Scape now goes into open beta pending an official launch of the Battle Royale later this summer on PS4, Xbox One and PC (player progress will be preserved) with a first season of content. Hyper Scape’s open beta introduces the Crown Rush single player mode (squad playable version of three players), two new limited-time game modes, Team Hack Distribution Mode and Turbo Squad Mode, a new Hack, Shockwave, new weapon, Harpy, 30-level free combat pass and online store.

As a bonus, Crowncast, the Twitch extension, welcomes many new features: “It will offer a progression system on the combat pass which will be linked to the time of viewing Hyper Scape streams on Twitch, but also the possibility for streamers to invite spectators to join their squad via Twitch chat. These additions complement the functionality that was already available on Twitch during the technical test, namely the ability for spectators to vote for in-game effects that trigger in real time in the game, such as the Unlimited Ammo effect which affects all the participants of the match. In addition, a new effect, called Haste, will be introduced which will speed up the speed of all participants.
