Solicited by the Mexican authorities, the Californian company notified the hundreds of users by private message. All accounts of travelers who took the same two vehicles as a traveler from Los Angeles on January 31, 2020 were also taken offline. The profiles of the two drivers were also suspended. This anxiety-provoking suspension has panicked social networks in Mexico.
14 days suspended
But authorities said that of those who came into contact with the passenger, including hotel staff, no one developed symptoms ten days later. The incubation period for the virus is 14 days, the statement said. The government of Mexico City, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, invites the population to follow the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
Corona, but no virus
