UAE Search and Rescue Team Deployed to Afghanistan Following Earthquake
Kabul, Afghanistan – Joint Operations Leadership teams and the Emirati Search and Rescue team have departed for Afghanistan to assist in the wake of a devastating earthquake that struck the eastern regions of the contry. The deployment underscores the United arab Emirates’ commitment to providing immediate relief to those affected by natural disasters globally.
The Emirati team will collaborate with local authorities upon arrival to conduct field evaluations, enhance search and rescue operations, expand the overall response, and deliver crucial logistical and relief support. Efforts will focus on saving lives and recovering survivors trapped in rubble.Concurrently, the UAE Red Crescent Authority is dispatching urgent humanitarian aid, including essential relief materials, medical supplies, and shelter, to support affected individuals, the wounded, and impacted families.
