Two Winning Powerball Tickets Are Sold in Texas – NBC New York (47)

Although the main Powerball prize in the drawing on February 6 was sold in the state of Washington, those who live in Texas did not fare so badly as two people bought tickets with million-dollar prizes.

The winning numbers in said draw were 5, 11, 22, 23, 69, Powerball 7 and Power Play 2.

First of all, one lucky player won $1 million by matching all five numbers but not the Powerball. While someone else takes home $2 million after guessing the same number of numbers and playing the Power Play. This ticket specifically was sold at the HEB store on Bellaire Boulevard in Houston.

So far it is unknown where the other millionaire prize was sold.

Also, 5 people won $50,000 by guessing four of the five numbers plus the Powerball. While one takes home $100,000 for matching the same number of numbers plus the Powerplay. The current Powerball jackpot is now $20 million.

Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. It costs $2 to play, but if you choose to add Power Play then it’s $3.

HOW IS POWERBALL PLAYED?

Players win the jackpot when they match five numbers out of a total of 69 options. They must also guess an additional number, the Powerball, which they have to choose between 1 and 26.

By choosing Power Play for $1 more per spin, players can multiply their non-jackpot winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times.

A Power Play Match Five (5+0) prize is set at $2,000,000 regardless of the number of Power Plays selected. All other non-grand prizes will be multiplied by the selected Power Play number. *The 10X Power Play multiplier is available for drawings where the initially announced annualized Grand Prize amount is $150 million or less.

Draws are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
