Two UACM students found dead in Xochimilco

Two students from the Autonomous University of Mexico City (UACM) were killed with more than 70 stab wounds to the skull, chest and back. Their bodies were found inside plastic bags in the Mayor Xochimilco.

Young people, identified as Levi Gamaliel Rincon Franco, 22, and his brother Caleb Eliut Rincon Franco, 28, were reported missing on December 5, when they attended an alleged work appointment at the United Nations Park in Coyoacan.

According to the investigation folder CI-FIEDH / 2 / UI-1 C / D / 00331 / 12-2020, the families of the victims narrated that the young people met a person on campus who offered them a job, but that person always canceled hiring meetings.

Last Thursday, December 3, one of the boys received a message asking him to meet the next day in the United Nations Park, in the Coyoacán mayor’s office, to receive work materials, a cell phone and a pantry as a bonus.

A day later, at approximately 10:55 a.m., they received a message to confirm the meeting that would take place at 3:00 p.m.

At 3:04 p.m. that same day, the young people sent the location of the appointment to their parents, who later received another message from the victims explaining that they were going to the Mayor Xochimilco.

Their bodies were found on Saturday in the Xochimilco mayor’s office, on Calle Manantiales # 24, in the San Jerónimo neighborhood.
