Two teenagers killed in knife attack in German train | Abroad

The two people killed in a knife attack on a German train on Wednesday were teenagers. It concerns young people aged sixteen and nineteen from the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein.

The 33-year-old perpetrator comes from the Palestinian Territories and has no fixed place of residence or residence. The man was staying in Germany with a provisional residence permit.

According to witnesses, the suspect, Ibrahim H., randomly attacked people. Seven people were also injured, three of whom were taken to hospital in critical condition. Passengers intervened during the attack by throwing suitcases at the man. The police managed to overpower him in the train in Brokstedt.

According to the police, H. was recently in prison for assault. His motive for the stabbing is still unclear, but the police rule out terrorism. H. will be brought before the court on Thursday afternoon.
