Two people died in the fire in Ropaži municipality
Riga, August 8, LETA. Two people died in a fire in Ropaži municipality on Saturday night, the LETA agency found out at the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).
At 188, firefighters received a call to Ropaži region, where an apartment of 70 square meters burned in a one-storey apartment building with an open flame. Two dead people were found in the beds during the erasure work. The fire was extinguished at 5.08.
Given that the apartment burned with an open flame, it is not yet possible to say whether smoke detectors were installed.
Firefighters remind that from January 1, smoke detectors must be installed in every home. With a loud noise, it will warn of the formation of smoke, which the human senses do not feel during sleep, and thus help save lives.
