Two new deaths were reported in Limburg on Sunday due to the coronavirus.

Four people who have been infected with the virus have been hospitalized. This is evident from the daily update of both Limburg GGDs.
A person died in North and Central Limburg, as in South Limburg, according to the latest figures.
To date, 3208 people have been tested positive for the coronavirus in the South Limburg region. That’s seven more than Saturday. In North and Central Limburg there are 1684 positive cases, four more than on Saturday.

The GGD Zuid-Limburg reports that a total of 1078 people with serious complaints have been (have been) hospitalized, an increase of four. In North and Central Limburg, this concerns 698 hospital admissions. That number did not increase on Sunday.
In total, the virus in our province has claimed at least 718 lives since the outbreak began in March.
The Netherlands
The official number of deaths from the coronavirus in the Netherlands has risen to 5956. In the past 24 hours, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) has received 5 new reports of deaths. Eight new patients have been admitted to Dutch hospitals because of the coronavirus, bringing the total number to 11,735.

The total number of detected infections rose by 185 to 46,442. That is more than Saturday when 131 new infections were counted.
Not all of these patients have tested positive, hospitalized or died within the past 24 hours. Data on patient deaths and hospitalizations are also sometimes reported later. The actual number of corona deaths is higher because not everyone is tested.
