Two more deaths, 278 new infections

BerlinIn Berlin, 278 new infections with the corona virus have been registered in the past 24 hours. That goes from the Management report of the Senate Health Administration from Friday afternoon. The figures are not very meaningful, however, because nine out of twelve districts reported no figures on Christmas Day. As of Friday, a total of 92,357 people in the capital have been infected with the virus since the pandemic began, with 71,944 now considered recovered – 1129 more than the previous day. 1118 people died in connection with a corona infection, and two more deaths occurred on Friday. 19,295 people in Berlin are currently infected.

The Steglitz-Zehlendorf district registered 151 new infections, Tempelhof-Schöneberg 83 and Marzahn-Hellersdorf 44. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week is currently 188.2. The corona traffic light for the so-called seven-day incidence is still red.

The traffic light for intensive care bed occupancy also continues to show red. It is currently 30.6 percent. The warning value is 25 percent. 382 people with Covid 19 disease are currently in the intensive care unit, 308 of whom are ventilated. A total of 1670 people are in hospital for Covid-19.

Only the traffic light for the number of reproductions, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, remains on green. The value is 0.92 percent.
