Two injured Benfica players after throwing stones on bus

A bus belonging to the Portuguese football team Benfica Lisbon was thrown at stones on Thursday after the first game after the Corona break while driving. Glass splinters injured the two players Julian Weigl and Andrija Zivkovic, who were taken to the Hospital da Luz in Lisbon. The authorities have started an investigation.

Benfica played 0-0 at home against CD Tondela. The league leaders thus missed the chance to distance themselves from FC Porto, both of whom hold the top at 60 points. Porto lost 1-2 to Famalicao on Wednesday.
