Two dead and two wounded in shooting near a temple in Florida



Miami – Two people were killed, one of them a 15-year-old boy, and two others were injured on Saturday in a shootout near a temple in Riviera Beach (southeast Florida) when a funeral had just been held, police said.

So far the police have not made arrests related to this shooting, recorded near the doors of the Victory City temple in that town near Palm Beach, and details are unknown.

The two dead are men, one of them 15 years old, while the injured people, who were taken to a hospital, are a woman and a teenagerRiviera Beach police said in a statement.

The pastor of Victory City Temple, Tywuante D. Lupoe, described what happened as “meaningless” and said his congregation mourns the loss of “two young African-Americans” and is praying for them.

According to a message on the Facebook account of this temple, none of those hit by the shooting, whose author or authors are unknown, was a member of that congregation.

The pastor told mypalmbeachpost.com digital media that one of his parishioners witnessed what happened and that the shooting apparently occurred in the middle of a family dispute.
