Two young people died on the night of Monday, July 4, and a third is reported to be near death, after a shooting inside a grocery store in the East New York, Brooklyn area.
The deadly incident occurred at the Spring Creek Deli, located at 902 Drew Street, at approximately 11:35 p.m.

“Oh, I get scared, because you go out and you’re going to come back in the house and you don’t know what you’re going to find at the time,” Francis said.
Police reportedly responded to a 911 call, arriving at the scene to find a 21-year-old man shot in the head. the young man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A second 18-year-old man was found shot in the torso, and a 23-year-old third, shot in the neck.
Both were taken to Brookdale Hospital, where the 23-year-old passed away and the 18-year-old is torn between life and death.
Authorities say a fourth man was taken into custody from inside the deli, where they also found three firearms.
On Tuesday morning, workers and residents of the area reflected on the insecurity that exists in the neighborhoods and on the streets of New York.
“Impressive, right? Because the area is somewhat dangerous. Something could happen to us to see our families,” said Clever Morales.
“More security, more police, patrolling here, there, so that one can have more security and more peace of mind to be able to get home,” said Jeffry Díaz.
