The 61-year-old man has gray hair, blue eyes, is 1.62m (5’3 ”) tall and weighs approximately 57 kg (125 lbs).

He has various tattoos on his arms, including one of his initials, according to information disclosed by the SPVM on Friday afternoon.

The witness could be traveling in a gray 2006 Dodge Caravan, registered N85 RQY.

This mysterious case began Thursday morning, when a first man was found seriously injured in the corridor of a building on Avenue Benny, in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district.

Theodoros Lakis Debeyiostis, 80, was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Quickly, investigators concluded that he had been the victim of murder.

“He was an extremely polite man,” a shocked tenant said Friday, who wished to remain anonymous. He was really hardworking. “

The octogenarian was the former owner of apartment buildings in Montreal. His sons took over some time ago.

Same owners

The investigation into the discovery of his body led the police to go to the second floor of another building belonging to the Debeyiostis family, located on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa Est, in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville sector.

This is a building comprising 16 apartments and shops, where Witness Charbonneau resides.

He would have been a concierge there for over 10 years.

Inside, the police discovered another body, that of Pierre Phaneuf, 68 years old.

Hit on the head

The 60-year-old, who is said to be a friend of the wanted witness, bore obvious marks of violence on his head. His death was pronounced on the spot.

“It was a former plumber that Theodoros hired to do mini-jobs,” said Éric Bussières, from the orthopedic shoemaker on the first floor.

The latter, who knew and appreciated the two victims, was obviously shaken Friday.

These are the 12e and 13e homicides to occur in 2020 in Montreal.
