A Flemish woman was killed in the attack in New York yesterday. It concerns the 31-year-old Ann-Laure Decadt from Staden. 3 fellow countrymen were also injured. They come from the province of Antwerp.
“It is about a family: father, mother, son and their nephew”, says Soenens. “They were taking a bike ride yesterday. The nephew is unharmed. The son is slightly injured, but the mother and father are very badly injured. Some reports say that amputations have even been performed. The people are in very bad shape. ”
The man was operated on a blood clot in the head, his wife’s leg was amputated.
