NEW YORK, KOMPAS.TV – Hateful attacks against Asian descent in the United States (US) have reoccurred.
A footage from surveillance cameras of a building released by the New York City Police (NYPD) on Tuesday (30/3/2021) shows an attack on an Asian American woman by a man who repeatedly kicks her in the stomach.
This attack took place in front of a number of eyewitnesses who were silent and did nothing.
The NYPD said the 65-year-old woman was seen walking in the city of Manhattan on Monday afternoon (29/3/2021) when a man approached her and kicked her in the stomach until she fell to her knees.

The assailant then kicked and stepped on the woman’s face several times while hurling anti-Asian sentiments at her.
After carrying out the attack, the man looked back to walking casually.
