Twitter tightens rules again, takes tougher action against hate messages | NOW

Message service Twitter is tightening up its rules in the fight against hateful messages. From now on, language that “dehumanizes” individuals on the basis of race, ethnicity or national origin is prohibited. The social medium announced this on Wednesday.

The American company points out that it is constantly adjusting the rules to protect people.

Just recently, Twitter, following Facebook, banned Holocaust denial as a hate speech. Denying the mass murder of Jews by Nazi Germany is now against the rules. The service says it strongly condemns anti-Semitism.

In March of this year decided Twitter is already banning posts in which people are treated inhumanely because of a disability, illness or their age.
