Twitter Promises to Perfect the 5G Label Check Fact and Corona Virus

INILAH, Jakarta – Twitter says it is working to improve the fact that labeling of facts on 5G related scandals and corona viruses has been a problem since users reported that their sting was labeled Covid-19 fact check.

“In the last few weeks, you might have seen Tweets with labels linking to additional info about Covid-19. Not all Tweets have the potential to be misleading linking Covid-19 and 5G. We apologize for the confusion that has arisen and we are improving the labeling process check out our facts, “tweet @TwitterSupport.

Quoted from The Verge, Monday, Twitter began examining the facts linking 5G and the Covid-19 pandemic earlier this month by adding a lable that reads “get the facts about Covid-19,” which is connected to an article titled “No, 5G does not cause corona virus. “

The fact check label is part of a broader effort by the social media company to attach a warning label to provide context for tweets with misleading Covid-19 information.

In April, Twitter went further with the removal of a Covid-19-related scandal that allegedly prompted people to engage in “dangerous activities.”

However, the system that determines which flag is marked is less detailed. Last week, tweets with the words “oxygen” and “frequency” were marked with a fact check label. These two words may be the keywords that trigger the label.

“Labeling Tweets that might contain misleading information continues to be an iterative process,” a spokeswoman told The Verge.

“Given the widespread distribution of misinformation about 5G and Covid-19 globally, we prioritize algorithmic Tweet labet with that information. As we improve this process to be more precise, our goal is to make fewer labels on unrelated Tweets,” he added .

The Twitter Support account says “building new automatic capabilities to apply this label to Tweets that we think are relevant,” but it is not certain when the fix will be applied. (ant)
