Twitter has a message from US President Donald Trump as ‘potentially misleading’ stamped. That happened just hours after Twitter tightened its policy.
In the tweet, Trump spoke on the night from Monday to Tuesday of “major problems and discrepancies” in postal voting in the United States.
Trump has more often spoken out against postal voting. According to the American president, it leads to electoral fraud, although he has never provided proof of this.
Half an hour after the message was posted, Twitter put a label over it. “Some or all of the content shared in this tweet has been questioned and may be misleading as to how you can participate in elections or other civil lawsuits,” the label said.
Users can still read the tweet, but only if they choose to click away the notification themselves.
